Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

The story ends here, the magic continues . . .

Book Seven of the Harry Potter series (as yet no title announced) will be the last of the Harry Potter series, and possibly the longest, (as Order of the Phoenix is currently the longest), although the author, J.K. Rowling, has reportedly considered writing other books.

Facts

* Rowling has revealed that she has already written the last chapter of this book. Information was provided about this on the show "Imagination : J.K.Rowling : Harry Potter and me" on BBC WORLD. * Rowling once stated in an older magazine article, that the last word in this book will be "scar". This has been repeated several times afterwards. However, in a later interview, it is said that this might now have changed. * Rowling has stated that this book is like Part 2 of the Half-Blood Prince, so may provide a direct continuation of the plot of that book. * Lupin will play a big part in this book, as will Lily's back-story. * The last chapter of the book is already written, though it has been changed a couple of times. * Rowling has stated herself that TWO of the main Trio will die in the last book.

*It has been confirmed, the seventh and last book will be called Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Rumours

* Rowling has denied two rumoured titles: Harry Potter and the Fortress of Shadows and Harry Potter and the Forest of Shadows. There are also rumours that Voldemort kills Harry but dies also, as they share blood. * Sibyll Trelawney prophesied that "neither can live while the other survives", so it seems to be fairly certain that either Harry Potter or Lord Voldemort will die in this book. However, Rowling has said on her website that "myself and Madame Trelawney worded the prophecy very carefully", so the outcome is only speculation at the moment. *There has been rumours that the prophecy is not about Harry, but Neville Longbottom. In HBP, it was stated that when Voldemort went after Harry and gave him his scar, he marked him as his equal. Therefore, the prophecy cannot be about Neville. * Rowling has said that Harry will survive until this book, but refused to say whether he dies in or shortly after it. It has now been known that TWO of the main characters will die in the last book. * The title "Harry Potter and the Quest of the Centaur" has been rumored, but only rumored and very unlikely (if you've seen before, such rumours were far from the actual truth). *It's said that the book will be hitting the book stores 7th of July, 2007. Or as they also say it, 07/07/07

Predictions from PR users

I suspect that the reason Dumbledore trusted Snape is because Snape professed to him his secret love of Lily Evans/Potter. Snape telling Voldemort of Trelawny's prophecy lead to Lily's death, and for that Snape was truly penitent. Snape's disgust of Lily's muggle heritage, I suspect, is mostly Rowling's red herring. Also, the mysterious R.A.B. will one way or another turn out to be Albus Dumbledore's twice-mentioned brother, Aberforth, know by his middle name. I suppose the reason he wasn't at his brother's funeral is that he's too busy hunting down horocruxes. *Submitted by Chris Strehlo from New Jersey, USA I think that R.A.B. is Sirius Black's brother Regulus A. Black, as he wanted to quit with Voldemort, but knew that Voldemory soon will find him and then there will be no forgiveness. Also when cleaning Sirius Black's house there was some kind of medalion that Creature wanted to hide. This would explain why did JKR gave Black's house to Harry why did she mentioned that Sirius had a brother, death eater, who later was killed by Voldemort for quiting him. *Submitted by Aurela I believe that Dumbledore's death is not because of Snape's apparent alliance with the Dark Lord. I believe it is what must have been done in order for Snape to stay on Voldemort's side, and since Harry is the only one that can kill Voldemort, Dumbledore's death is not very relevant because he too understands this and feels Harry is up for what he must face. I also believe that because of this Snape may play a part in the fall of Voldemort. *Submitted by DL Fusion I belive that the last horocruxes is the mirror that Sirius gave to Harry *Submitted by Ethan Freeman We think that in the 7th book that two main characters aren't going to die and i think that Draco Malfoy will become a spy and friend to Harry. Dumbledore's speech to him before he died had impact on Draco. The mirror isn't a Horcrux because Harry smashed the mirror in the fifth book pg.756 I think that Hogwarts is going to shut down and we think that Hagrid is going to die but Grawp will come to Harry's aid during the book. This is just our hopes and guesses and we hope J.K puts these thoughts into consideration. Since J.K has such an complex and imagintive mind nobody can guess correctly what this book will turn out to be. *Submitted bt Reba and Rachele E-mail I think Harry will sacrifice Hermione and Ron to live and turns on them and join Forces will Darco, Crabbe and Goyle and becomes a death-eater since he and Voldemort have brother wands, share the same blood, and both can speak parseltongue In the first Harry told the sorting hat to put him in Griffyndor een though he should have been put in slytherin *Submitted by Megan Michaels PIttsburgh, PA I believe that the barman of the Hog's Head is Aberforth Dumbledore. The description of the barman,"He was a grumpy-looking old man with a great deal of long grey hair and a beard. He was tall and thin and looked vaguely familiar to Harry." Remind you of anyone? Maybe this barman is really Aberforth Dumbledore, as you learn in 6th that Albus Dumbledore is "friendly with the local barman". I believe that the barman of the Hog's Head is currently in possession of Slytherin's Locket: BOOK 5-pg. 108- "a heavy locket which none of them could open", shows that the locket is in the house of Black. BOOK 6-pg. 230/231- Mundungus is selling Sirius' old things, possibly selling the locket? BOOK 6-pg. 230- Mundungus is talking to the Hog's head barman outside The Three Broomsticks,"As Harry, Ron and Hermione drew closer, the barman drew his cloak more tightly around his neck and walked away..." The important part here is NECK. You wear a locket around your neck. Could the barman be hiding the locket? I hope you read this because I believe it's true and that other people would believe it's true. No one else has this theory, although people are getting closer! *Submitted by Lynsey Haynes, Terrace, British Columbia, Canada The entire book 1 had to do with immortality...same as book 6 with the horcruxes. This was just a random similarity I noticed and don't know whether it will play an important role or not. Anyways I know the number 7 is extremely important but I don't know why. I think that we should expect the number 7 to come up and explain something important about it but I don't know what right now. There were 7 obstacles the trio had to go through in book 1 with the stone and there are 7 parts to Voldemorts soul. My theory is that the snake, Nagini, is a horcrux. It's the last place someone would think to hide part of a soul in but it's possible. While I was reading, I remembered the Room of Requirements. This is one place that can very very possibly be hiding a horcrux. Tom Marvalo Riddle had left Hogwarts but he had a lot of time to hide horcruxes throughout the castle. We know one of it was the diary and it made it's way back into hogwarts...it can very easily still have another piece somewhere in hogwarts. To wrap it up here is my conclusion: The horcruxes are in plain sight at hogwarts. But because they seem like ordinary things, it hasn't crossed anyone's mind that a horcrux can be there. But just like in Book 1, where the trio had to each use their abilities to help get through the obstacles...they will also use it again(not the same abliities) to help Harry...meanwhile sacrificing themselves. Rowling stated 2 of the 3 die...and I think Harry and Hermione die. Here's why: I read somewhere OLLIVANDERS spells out RONALD LIVES. Could it be a foreshadowing of what's to come? *Submitted by Jenny
